Supervision and Training

I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision with Distinction from the University of Chester.

I provide clincial supervision  and Consultant supervision (supervision of supervision) in my Private Practice, as well as for organisations in the fields of mental health, bereavement and survivors of sexual and emotional abuse. I supervise a number of therapists working with children and young people, including for Younger Mind and YESS.

I work with students in training and with more experienced practitioners, from a variety of settings. I am approved by a number of local universities and colleges to supervise their counsellors in training. 

I offer a warm and supportive supervision environment tailored to suit the developmental or other needs of the supervisee, their training establishment (if any) and the agency for which they work.

I base my supervisory approach on Hawkins and Shohet’s model, underpinned with my person-centred philosophy.This is offered within a boundaried relationship, designed to address also the 

gate-keeping and ethical and professional obligations of the supervisory relationship.
